Books and Culture has been a mainstay for thoughtful Christian reflection on, well, books and culture. And it's going away. What does that mean for Christian thinkers?
The New Yorker profiled Kirk Franklin, the gospel artist who has collaborated with a variety of Hip Hop and R&B stars. He got flak last year for working with Kanye West on "Ultralight Beam." He responded by saying, "Kanye is not me, I am not him. He is my brother I am proud to do life with." He added, "To a lot of my Christian family, I'm sorry he's not good enough, Christian enough, or running at your pace...and as I read some of your comments, neither am I. That won't stop me from running."
